A question:
How long can someone go without reading their Bible and still be a Christian?
I know of a professing Christian, an adult, who never reads the Bible.
I have some other thoughts on this issue, but will save them until after I get some responses on my question.

How much Bilbe reading does it take to still be a Christian?
Well John if we go by the Bible then it says to read the word everyday. Yet, this friend whouldn know that lol they dont read it.
How long can a person go without food or drink? The Bible is the sustenance of our spiritual life in Christ. He gave the Word to us for our benefit.
My son had a pastor that said we have as much of Christ as we have of His Word.
The old song said, "I'm using my Bible for a roadmap." We only need a roadmap if we are going somewhere.
I think one must look beyond your question to the cause. Can this person read? Does this person need someone to study the Bible with him/her to get started? Perhaps a support group or a mentor would make a big difference. Jesus didn't just call the disciples and leave them alone. He taught them and kept them with Him.
Once you begin to read and study, you thirst and hunger for more.
Psalms 119:105 tells us the Word is a light. II Timothy 2:15 and 3:16 & 17 definitely instructs us about what we should do and why.
What kind of "relationship" could I really have if say, I never spoke to or heard from my spouse?
My Grandfather, J. L. Collins was a contractor most of his life and a good one, he never "professed" or claimed he could build a house without first having a good foundation.
Is God's word not a foundation for life? I would be hard pressed to consider your friend a very wise christian, if a christian at all. To "never" read God's word hardly sounds like a person truly in love with Christ, or a person truly thankful for God's Grace.
"Professing" Christianity without feeding on the true source of life is just that, a "profession" only. (I thought it was about a relationship.)
